other waters
There are a multitude of waters to fish in the
area, more than we could document in the small amount of space we
have on our site. Mill Creek is a bounding small stream with beautiful plunge pools, and each one holds gorgeous
little cutts eager for attractor patterns. The East Gallatin
is in Bozeman, and holds the strongest rainbows I have ever seen. There are also some true tackle busting browns lurking in the depths.
It has a great Trico hatch that is just a blast to fish. Rock
Creek is very near the ranch, and is smaller than Tom Miner Creek.
Daly Lake is in Emigrant, and holds some walleye in addition to trout. The Boulder River
is where much of "A River Runs Through It" was filmed,
and is an hour and a half from the ranch in the Absaroka-Beartooth
Wilderness Area. Big Creek and Six Mile Creek offer great small creek flyfishing for rainbows, browns, and cuttthroats almost within sight of the lodge.
And this doesn't even take into account all the water in Yellowstone National Park that we couldn't squeeze onto the web site!
In other words, we can find some new water for
you every day. And we have just about any type of trout fishing
you could ask for. But don't take our word for it, come see for
yourself.
